I adopted Harvey from Toronto Humane Society on March 21, 2015. I had been looking for a kitten (which he was not) but when I met Harvey it was love at first sight. When I brought him home, he had a cold, was healing from a leg fracture, and is FIV+.
When he came home with me, he was instantly the centre of mine and my roommates’ worlds. Since then, he and I have lived in four different places and even moved cities together! My current roommate caters to his every whim, and as I write this Harvey is sitting on my lap.
He is the cuddliest, funniest, weirdest cat I’ve ever met. I even got a tattoo of him! I am so glad I didn’t let his FIV+ situation prevent me from bringing him home. Thank you, Toronto Humane Society, for keeping him safe until I brought him home. He makes my life beautiful.
