The Great Canadian Giving Challenge has begun. Every donation you made through CanadaHelp.org gives us the chance to win an additional $20,000. What would we do with that money? Help over 1,000 pets and their families.
Fully booked and resources stretched thin, our Pet Parent Support Network continues to work overtime to keep families together.
The program is designed to give pet parents the support they need to care for and remain with their animals. From pet supplies, behaviour consultations, to affordable care options – the spectrum of support runs wide for pets and people in need.
And the need is growing.
In the beginning of 2021, we received an average of 165 requests for support per month. By the end of the same year, we were receiving an average of 495 requests per month. We saw our biggest increase this month, with more than 650 requests for support.
Despite the growing demand and increased pressure our Pet Parent Support team is facing, we are continuing to support more pet parents in need of help. But in order to keep the momentum going and meet the growing demands from our community, we need the resources.
By donating through the Canada Helps donation page, you can help us win $20,000. This money could help an additional 1,000 pets and their families.
The more you give, the more chances we have of winning and expanding our Pet Parent Support Network.
