Help Shelter Animals Beat the Heat

| July 15, 2024

TORONTO, ON. – July 15, 2024 – As the summer temperatures rise, Toronto Humane Society is excited to announce the launch of the Summer Chill Shop, dedicated to keeping shelter animals cool and comfortable. This campaign aims to provide refreshing, pet-friendly treats to furry friends, ensuring their well-being during the hottest months of the year.

“Our shelter animals deserve to enjoy the summer just as much as we do,” says Melissa Shupak, Director of Animal Sheltering at Toronto Humane Society. “With the Summer Chill Shop, we’re offering delicious, safe frozen treats to help them stay cool and happy. We invite the community to join us in this effort by purchasing these treats for our shelter animals.”

By supporting the Summer Chill Shop, the community can help provide refreshing treats to the animals in Toronto Humane Society’s care. Contributors will receive a thank you email along with heartwarming photos and a video of the animals enjoying their cooling summer delights. It is a wonderful way to see the direct impact of support and share in the joy of the shelter animals.

The organization is also sharing a pet-friendly frozen treat recipe that you can try at home for your dog or cat!
