Once in our care we noticed that he had severe allergies. He was constantly itching his irritated skin until it became raw. He also had broken teeth, which we assume came from trying to chew his way out of uncomfortable situations.
His confidence also took a hit. He would lay in the corner of his kennel with his eyes glued to the floor. He did not want to eat. He did not want to engage with humans or other dogs. He felt defeated.
Champ was quickly placed in a foster home while he recovered from his medical treatment. He needed to remember what it felt like to be in a loving home.
After 3 long weeks, and with the help of his foster brother, Champ found the pep in his step. He started to return to the big, lively dog he used to be. Shortly after Champ received the amazing news that he was being adopted into a new, loving home.
