Joey is a quiet little guy who's still learning to come out of his shell-literally! While he can be a bit reserved at first, he's shown us time and time again that there's a curious and thoughtful soul beneath that shy exterior.

He loves to cozy up under his favorite black lily pad, but don't let that fool you-Joey is a great listener and has even started poking his head out to listen to Harry Potter read-aloud sessions. His progress has been steady and heartwarming: he's flinching less, watching more, and even swimming closer when someone speaks gently to him.

Joey may not be the first to race over at feeding time or show off with flashy moves, but he's incredibly observant and seems to enjoy quiet company from a safe distance. He responds well to calm voices and gentle energy, and with a little patience, he's sure to continue building trust and confidence.
