Rocky
Rocky
Meet Rocky, a gentle and observant soul looking for a patient companion to help him discover how wonderful the world can be. This handsome fellow likes to carefully take in his surroundings and process new experiences at his own pace.
Rocky walks nicely on leash and loves exploring with his nose, taking his time to sniff along sidewalks and through the park. Loud noises, unfamiliar environments or people and dogs coming too close can make him feel uncertain. He is looking for someone with big-dog experience who can calmly advocate for his space and reassure him through their actions so that he can focus on the important stuff such as taking in all the sniffs, relaxing and feeling the wind in his hair and not have to worry about the grown up stuff. A patient, considerate and positive-reinforcement-based approach will help Rocky feel safe and build confidence.
Rocky can be polite and occasionally friendly with other dogs, particularly when he has plenty of space. However, sharing a home with another dog may not be the right fit for him. Rocky may be happiest as the only pet, where he can relax and enjoy having his people and home to himself.
The more Rocky knows and trusts you, the more his affectionate side shines. He LOVES to cuddle, lean his whole body into his favourite people and rest his head in their hands for gentle rubs. With a calm routine, a quieter home and someone who will give him time while confidently looking out for him, Rocky has the potential to become a deeply loving and loyal companion.
