Joyce

Joyce is a beautiful 2-year-old mixed breed who has just finished raising her eight adorable puppies-job well done, Joyce! Now that her mom duties are complete, she's ready to be the centre of attention and soak up all the love she deserves.

Joyce has a sweet, gentle nature and is quick to connect with a kind word and a tasty treat. She loves to sniff and explore, and spending time with her people is one of her favourite things. She can be a little unsure in new environments, but with patience and encouragement she settles in nicely. A home with easy outdoor access and quiet walking routes would suit her best.

She has a playful side and can get rowdy with the best of them! Joyce may do well with another calm dog or cat if introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully. She would appreciate having her own space for high-value treats or favourite toys and is polite enough to respect a four-legged roommate in return.

Joyce is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which will take several months to complete. During this time, she'll need restricted exercise-no off-leash running or long walks-but she's perfectly happy with short sniffy strolls, food puzzles, and quiet time with her family.

With a consistent routine and continued basic training, Joyce is ready to begin her next chapter in a loving forever home.
