Scarborough
Scarborough
Scarborough is a handsome 5-year-old boy with a gentle heart that's looking for the right person to understand him.
Life took an unexpected turn when he suffered a serious fall from a balcony. Since then, the world has felt a little less predictable, and he's understandably become more cautious about being handled. While he can be nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations, there's a sweet, affectionate cat underneath who wants to connect-just on his own terms.
Take the time to earn his trust, and you'll discover a cat who enjoys gentle pets around his face and neck, leans into affection, loves brushing, and has a soft spot for catnip and playtime. He seeks out human companionship and, once he feels safe, may even become the kind of companion who curls up beside you or on your lap.
Scarborough will thrive in a calm, quiet home with patient adults who are happy to let him set the pace. He's not a fan of being picked up or having certain parts of his body touched, and he'll let you know when he's had enough. Respecting his boundaries and building trust through positive experiences will be the key to helping him feel secure. He would do best in a home without children or dogs. While he may be able to live with a younger cat after a slow introduction, he generally prefers not to share his space with adult cats.
Scarborough isn't looking for perfection-he's looking for patience, understanding, and someone who believes that trust is earned. If you have a quiet home, a gentle approach, and room in your heart for a cat who just needs a little extra time to feel safe, Scarborough may reward you with a truly special bond.
