Give the Gift of Hope

‘Tis the season for giving and receiving. But isn’t it nice when you can find a holiday gift that does something a little extra? Whether you’re gifting a toy to a dog recovering from surgery or sharing treats with a stray cat to help them feel comfortable, your gift of hope can help remind the pets in our care that they are deeply loved this holiday season.

In return for sending a gift to the pets in our care this holiday season, you’ll receive a personalized letter with photos from a pet you’ve helped – pets like Laughing.

Laughing, a 3-year-old Samoyed mix, suffers from occasional seizure-like episodes. Our medical team started with diagnostics, consulted a neurology specialist, prescribed anti-epileptic medication to help her cope, and has been monitoring her closely to better understand her condition. Although the underlying issue is still unclear at this time, we are happy to report we have only since witnessed two brief 5-second episodes while she’s been in our care. Her medication dose has been adjusted, and she’s currently in a loving foster home until she finds her forever home.

While Laughing copes with her condition, she hasn’t strayed away from being her amazing self. “Laughing is a beautifully well-behaved,” Laughing’s Foster Parent said.” She really loves to be with humans. She just wants the chance to be in the same room as anyone and she is content.”
