Cutie

Cutie

| January 24, 2021

Cutie was just six weeks old when she came to Toronto Humane Society with open wounds on her neck.

The wound on the left side was infected with live fleas and when the wound on the right side was examined, a larva was visible. A further check of the neck area found a second larva. Cutie was sedated while the larvae were removed. The areas were then flushed, and the wounds were cleaned. Cutie was prescribed antibiotics and pain medication to help her through the healing.

As Cutie was too young for adoption, she went to a foster family with a kitten close in age for socialization.

When Cutie was old enough and a healthy weight, she had her spay surgery and was adopted very soon afterward.
