With an inexplicable charm that captures the hearts of both humans and animals alike, Brover is a five-year-old shepherd mix with the spirit of a puppy. He is the type of dog that’ll spoil you with lots of cuddles and kisses after a long day of work. Brover is quite simply a silly ball of love. If you want to earn a place in his heart, have hot dogs on hand!

Brover’s life has not been easy. He was transferred into Toronto Humane Society’s care with a complicated medical history. This handsome fella had weight bearing lameness on both hind legs from a previous fracture. He also tested positive for heartworm. Needless to say, Brover needed some tender loving care.

Thanks to the quick work of our medical professionals, Brover is receiving the medical attention he needs to get him back on track and living life to the fullest again.

He is currently in the loving care of a Foster Family while he’s receiving medical treatment, and with the help of our training department, he is also learning to be the best boy he can be with crate and leash training.

Brover is on a promising road to recovery! By his sixth birthday, he hopes to be running around freely and chasing balls again!

Treating heartworm, on top of Brover’s other medical diagnoses, are expensive. Without your support, we would not have had the medical experts or the resources to help Brover.
