Humane Champion Joker

Joker

| June 7, 2023

We were told that Joker had a habit of urinating outside of the litterbox. After a thorough examination, it was discovered that he was suffering from Urolith, which can be compared to having kidney stones, and feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD). Poor Joker was experiencing painful urination, making it difficult and uncomfortable for him to go to the bathroom.

To provide Joker with the best possible care, our veterinarians decided to use a urinary catheter to unblock his bladder. As they worked, they noticed a gritty substance in Joker’s urine, which was likely the cause of the blockage. Our team knew that Joker needed more intensive treatment, so he underwent a cystotomy surgery to remove the stones from his bladder.

Thankfully, Joker’s surgery was successful, and he is on the road to recovery. He is currently receiving medication to help with his FLUTD, and we are happy to report that he is now able to urinate without pain or discomfort. Joker can finally get the restful sleep he deserves, knowing that he can go to the bathroom with ease.

Thanks to your support, Joker received the medical attention he needed, as soon as he needed it. Once he is cleared of his medical conditions, he will be looking for his forever home.
