Our Pet Food Bank was created to help families facing short-term financial difficulties.
This program is supported by animal lovers, just like you. Donating pet food is much more than dropping off a few bags of kibble – it’s about keeping more pets with their families. No one should face the difficult decision of having to surrender their pet because they cannot afford the cost of food.
We need your help to continue to provide pet food to families in need! Canned cat food is in high demand, but we are looking for both unopened wet and dry food for cats and dogs. Anything helps!
Donations can be brought to the front door of our building, located at 11 River Street, from 10am to 6pm, 7 days a week. We also have an Amazon Wish List that could save you a trip. Simply purchase any food items on our list and the items will be mailed directly to us.
If you, or anyone you know, owns a business that is interested in donating pet food to Toronto Humane Society please email corporate@torontohumanesociety.com.
Does the food need to be new and sealed?
Yes, this is for health and safety reasons.
Do you accept all brands of pet food?
Yes! Our Pet Food Bank supports many different animals with different dietary needs. Every bag or can of food donated is greatly appreciated.
Can I have the food delivered (without using Amazon)?
Yes. Please include your name on the package – we’d love to know who sent these wonderful gifts!
Is there something specific you need?
Cat food – wet or dry – are always in great demand, but we’re happy to accept any food donations you can give.
