We got Benny Bug on Sep 6, not too long ago (I KNOW, SO RECENT) but my oh my the progress he has made is ASTOUNDING and we just can’t help but to be proud of him.
Benny came to us shy, fearful, and anxious. He wouldn’t look us in the eyes and would often keep to himself. In just a few days, Benny has taken a 180 – now, the moment our key turns in the lock, we hear sniffs and the second the door opens, there he is waiting.
Benny has walked out to our patio multiple times, and braced himself to take his poops and pees out on walks.
Doors and hallways still scare him but with a lil bit of encouragement (and maybe about 45 minutes of coaxing), he whispers to himself “I am brave and I can do it” before lunging down the stairs and out the door for a long walk.
Our Benny Boy. Our Brave Boy. Our Benster. Our Benny Bug.
We are so lucky to have you. We love you as much as you love cheese.
