We are the family who adopted Blue John (now Gyoku) on November 2nd 2025.
To say the least, he is the light of our day. He loves to cuddle with us until he gets too hot. He enjoys the balcony during the cold days with his chewing sticks. He is coming out of his shell, and showing us his wonderful personality. He is obsessed with his senior brother (17 yo), but he still needs to learn to control his intensity when interacting with him. We are working on it. He is showing a willingness to do better, which is very adorable and encouraging.
He is doing great in dog school. He just graduated foundation skills 1, and is about to start the smells detection class. He really enjoys learning and going to school. He is almost no longer reactive to other dogs thanks to all the lamb meat he got from being a good boy. However, he is still learning how to socialize with dogs. He doesn’t know how to communicate properly with, nor understand his canine cousins.
In the end, we were the right fit for each other. We wouldn’t want a life without him. He is our baby forever now.
