Wanted to let you know that Tweety is doing well. He is a really good bird, so we let him fly freely in our home pretty much all day. He knows to fly back to his cage to eat and sleep!
He can easily be found in our home, always on the main floor, had never tried to venture upstairs or downstairs. He is always in front of the mirror, we thought it was funny at first, but my gut tells me he may be lonely and think it’s a friend.
There is always nature/bird chirping sounds in the house and he seems to be “communicating” with the sounds of other birds. We are waiting to see if another male budgie will become available, and we can pick him up so that Tweety can have a real friend.
We purchase tons of toys for him, but a real friend of his kind may be needed.
He is lovely with my kids and I. He is an amazing addition to our family!
