Happy Tails

We adopted Donna on Saturday, June 25. She is a dreamboat.

First, she walked all the way home from River Street to Spadina Avenue as though she knew the way. Stopped only once to yell at some little dog passing by. She kept to the back roads and was generally a star.

Today, her first full day with us, she woke us up with kisses. She has already broken the squeaker on her kong giraffe. She gets zoomies, and  even jumped onto the dining room table!

She took us for a walk to the Grange Park where she was able to meet some dogs (through the fence).

She loves to look out the windows at the fire trucks. We had to screw the windows shut at three inches so she doesn’t fall out.

She seems to have a strong hunting drive and yesterday came so close to catching a pigeon. She is also highly motivated by squirrels.

We love this girl. I could go on and on about how perfectly wonderful she is. She is laying on my feet as I write. Fast asleep.

Thank you to everyone who helped this beautiful girl come into our lives.

We have started calling her ‘” Betty, from Texas”. She is a highly sensitive, intuitive girl.

Thank you, Toronto Humane Society, for bringing darling queen Betty into our home!
