Introducing Our Free Pet Resource Library: Expert Advice at Your Fingertips

| June 19, 2025

At Toronto Humane Society, we know that the human-animal bond is something truly special—and that every pet guardian wants to do right by their furry (or feathered, or scaly!) family member. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Pet Resource Library—a free, easy-to-access collection of expert-created resources to help you care for your beloved pets.

Whether you share your home with a playful pup, a curious cat, a gentle bunny, our Resource Library is designed with you in mind. It’s full of downloadable PDFs created by our team of animal care and behaviour professionals.

What You’ll Find

From everyday care to unique situations, our growing library includes guidance on a wide range of topics, such as:

  • Bonding Bunnies: Learn how to help rabbits form safe and lasting friendships.
  • Tips for Trimming Your Cat’s Nails: Step-by-step guidance to make nail trims less stressful for both you and your feline friend.
  • Supporting Blind and Deaf Dogs: Understand how to communicate and build confidence with dogs who rely on senses beyond sight or sound.
  • And so much more—including grooming tips, safe socialization, training support, and species-specific care.

Whether you’re a seasoned pet guardian or new to sharing your life with an animal companion, these resources are designed to empower and support you in every stage of your journey together.
