Why pet insurance?

It's Pet Insurance Month. We're spreading awareness about the affordable way to ensure your pet gets the care they need when they need it. It’s peace of mind, knowing you won’t have to think about cost when it comes to your pet’s well being.

New Adoption Process Coming Your Way

As we all work through this pandemic and the changes to life it brings with it, we discover and try new things; we adapt. At the beginning of all these changes, Toronto Humane Society reacted and adjusted our processes to bring you virtual adoptions! We are thrilled to tell you today, that over this same time period we have received over 10,000 applications to adopt! As you can imagine, these applications take time to sort through and created a significant wait time for many who wanted to adopt. This fantastic response has in turn, pushed us to adapt our process once again.

Launching very soon, will be our new adoption process, which will allow you to schedule an available appointment, within 48 hours. Each day, more appointment slots will open up, so if you miss your chance, check back the next day! While we make the transition into this process, we will be pausing all new adoption applications from coming in. During this period we will be catching up on the already submitted applications. Stay tuned to our website and social media for the exact date in which we will be launching this exciting new process!

Virtual dog and puppy training services available!

When it comes to training, your dog isn’t the only one reaping the rewards. Working regularly with your dog helps you to understand their needs better, making you an even better guardian as well.

The many ways to support animals this season

There’s no better way to celebrate the season than to give back to those in need. Donating to Toronto Humane Society will not only improve the lives of animals and will support animal-loving communities who are facing harder times than usual.

Help ban declawing in Ontario

People often mistakenly believe that declawing their cat is a harmless "quick fix" for unwanted scratching, but declawing cats does more harm than good. We need your support to ensure the new declawing ban passes in Ontario.

Black History Month: Facing Change

Black History Month 2021 is more than a celebration and reflection of the Black Community. It’s about taking action towards a more diverse community.
