I am writing to provide a long overdue update on Barry (formerly Patricia), the little bunny we adopted back in September!
Our goal was to bond her with our lop, Murphy, and after a few weeks of suspicion and jealousy (Murphy had only child syndrome), I am happy to report that they are the best of friends! She is obsessed with him and will cuddle him any opportunity she can. He is not a romantic, but he puts up with it and I find him giving her kisses several time a day. We even found portraits of two rabbits (painted by Deidre Wicks – in the fifth picture) that could not fit them better – it was meant to be. We did change Patricia’s name to Barry so that they are now both named after Irish beverages – Barry’s Tea & Murphy’s Pints.
Thank you so much for helping us bring these two together. We have to give a special shoutout to Neil Reilly, without whom I don’t think Barry would’ve been able to have join our home. We couldn’t be happier to have her join our family!
