Happy Tails

A couple of months after losing my 15-year-old Sir James last March, I knew it was time to open my heart and home to another rescue. Hard to believe it will be almost a year very soon.

I came upon “John”. He was a stray who was found a few days before wandering the streets. I knew he was the one when he allowed me to stroke him. The first day home, he settled right in and cuddled up to me. He had to be a Sir, Sir Cuddles seemed perfect, and a friend added the “alot” after Sir Lancelot.

He has gained weight and loves his food. He is a big softy and loves to come into the bed at night with me right under the covers. He lives up to his name with the cuddles each and every day. Where I live I have large windows in each room and he loves to look out and see the squirrels, birds, dogs and people passing by.

It took me a little while to adjust from a slower senior cat to a 2-year-old energetic one who loves to jump up onto the higher furniture. I have laughed many a time with his antics, and my heart melts when he looks at me with his beautiful face. He is very easy to handle and allows me to pick him up without a struggle, and has been very well behaved when at the vet. I am so blessed he is in my life.

Thank you for all the wonderful work you do for these beautiful creatures.
