Darci, a three-year-old Mixed Breed, arrived at Toronto Humane Society as a stray. When she first came in, she was reactive to strangers and visibly nervous. During her intake exam, we discovered she had minor dental disease but was otherwise in good health.
Thanks to your ongoing support, this brave dog received the medical care and behavioural training she needed. She was improving every day, learning to stay calm on walks, and growing more comfortable with new experiences. Best of all—she has been adopted! Darci is now enjoying a wonderful life with her new family, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
Be a Humane Champion monthly donor and change lives. Together we can continue to nurture the human-animal bond by directly supporting shelter care, training, education, and vet services. Your generosity means animals will live the life they were meant to live.
