Myla was in very good health when she came to Toronto Humane Society.
Myla had a few minor complications after her spay surgery, so she needed to stay in our care a little longer. When Myla wanted nothing to do with anyone and her appetite decreased, our team was concerned.
Bloodwork, urinalysis, and imaging were done to determine if there was a medical reason for this change. A bit of swelling was found in the bladder area but otherwise all her tests were normal. It was determined that Myla had a urinary tract infection and she was given antibiotics and pain medication.
Myla’s appetite improved and she began to find people more interesting.
Myla will remain in our care until our medical team has cleared her for adoption.
