Winona was left in a carrier near the food donation bin at a local grocery store.
This sweet, shy girl was overweight which made it difficult for her to clean herself. She had been spayed but not microchipped and, as there were no records for her, she needed all her vaccines. Winona also had a fractured tooth that would need dental care before she was adopted.
Since her arrival, Winona was stressed and spent a lot of her time hiding under a towel. She also stopped eating. Our Behaviour Team assessed her and came up with a plan that included both medication and enrichment that made her more comfortable.
Winona has since been adopted.
