I adopted Zoey in August, and she was a feral cat that was found outside with her kittens. Of course, the kittens get adopted fast, so I took Zoey because after my Jane passed away. I had to get another Torty.
She never lived in a house and never socialized with humans, so I had to be very patient, expanding her territory in the house very slowly and just doing quick visits in her safe room for around 3 weeks.
She was then given the freedom to explore the whole house and loves my 10-foot sliding walk-out doors with my yard backing onto a forest so lots of entertainment! She now comes when I call her, loves to play with me and hangs out with me in my home theatre when I watch sports. Zoey has become a very happy cat, comfortable in her new Country Club and loving life!
